Business English Instructor - Kelley Secrest
Kelley has four years of teaching experience in China, working with HuaQiao University of Foreign Languages (华桥外国语学院) in Changchun and with Harbin Engineering University (哈尔滨工程大学) in Harbin. She has taught and developed curriculum for courses such as Advanced Spoken English, IELTS Preparation, and Professional Interpretation. Kelley has also served as a teaching mentor and supervisor for ten new teachers, providing guidance and feedback on lesson plans and helping them adapt to teaching in a Chinese context. Her work as a team leader and teacher in Changchun earned her the distinction of Jilin Province Outstanding Foreign Expert.
Kelley earned a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology from the University of Florida. She has also completed a graduate-level TEFL certificate from Wheaton College, and is currently working on a Master's degree in Applied Linguistics from the University of Massachusetts Boston. In her spare time, Kelley loves to sing and play the guitar, go hiking or bike-riding, and spend time with friends.
